“We had another wonderful stay! It was our second time staying at Jacob’s place, and we already have a third trip booked! It is in the best location with a great spot for swimming! The kids loved the beach area and kayaks and having the cove pretty much to ourselves. There are a few fishing rods, floats, and a couple life jackets at the dock.. plus being able to keep our boat there is a huge plus! The kitchen was well stocked for the easy meals we cooked each day. If you are going during the week, it seemed many restaurants were closed Monday and Tuesday.. but we enjoyed Lake Gaston Coffee, Jenny Cakes, and Casa Mia (we thought it was much better and cheaper than Lake Gaston Pizza).”

“I can confirm that the rave reviews for this place and the host, Jake, are not exaggerated! If you aren't out on the lake or relaxing at home (yes, it feels like home!) the area has so much to offer too. I went to a lovely vineyard, Rosemount, when it snowed unexpectedly, walked around the neighorhood and fed the goats, rode the bike trail from Weldon to Roanoake Rapids and back, sipped wine on the dock, took a nap in the hammock, enjoyed my morning coffee with a lake view, slept like a baby, and ate like a queen thanks to a well equipped kitchen. What more could anyone want for a mini vacation? My reply to that questions is, a longer vacation there!”

“Have you ever experienced that moment when you enter an Airbnb and start jumping up and down out of pure joy and excitement because the place is amazing? Yeah that’s what happened here!!

Jacob’s home is so beautiful and cozy. He is really communicative and the home has everything you need. The check in and check out process was very simple.

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway with friends, I definitely recommend booking Jacob’s home. Seriously, just imagine waking up in the morning, holding a cup of tea, and looking out the giant windows that overlook beautiful Lake Gaston. It was such a treat.”
