Herculaneum MO Historical Society Preserving photos and the history of Herculaneum. Herculaneum Historical Society meets monthly on the first Thursday of each month.

The meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. and are held at Herculaneum City Hall, #1 Parkwood Court, Herculaneum. For information, 636 475-5476 or 636 475-3080. The Herculaneum Historical Society meetings are open to anyone with an interest in the history of Herculaneum and the surrounding area. Meetings generally feature a guest speaker discussing some historical topic of the area. Past presenters have spok

en about the Herculaneum cemeteries, the Douglass Elementary School, Lewis & Clark, herbology and pioneer medicines, historical weather occurrences, the Masonic Lodge, the Mississippi River & Bonne Terre Railroad, the Bonne Terre Farming & Cattle Company, area lead mines, steamboat disasters, Civil War Captain Buxton, etc.

The Jefferson County Firefighters Association has sold all of the solar eclipse glasses.

You might check with Dunklin Fire, Goldman Fire and Antonia Fire, but the supplies are limited. Might try in the morning as it is getting late. Call the fire stations first before going!
