This Sunday, August 2, visit the Clara Eitmann Messmer Amphitheater for a performance by the Hermann City Band at 7pm.

The band will perform a variety of marches, overtures, show tunes, patriotic music, and contemporary concert band selections.

Organizers suggest bringing lawn chairs or blankets for seating.

In case of inclement weather the concert will move to Hermann High School Auditorium, 176 Bearcat Crossing, Hermann, Missouri.

Our sign went up over the weekend and we redid the little flower bed! Too hot to spread the calendulas out as they are almost ready to bloom.

Take a look at the cottage!!! (Still can’t decide on a name.) We still have work to do, Bill Burch Construction has some final touches on Monday & the adorable range for the kitchenette needs replaced. (That was a disaster, BUT how cute is the studio-sized frig & dishwasher😍) We are going to start moving things in today!!! Need to pick the wallpaper for the accent wall. Please share your favorite in the comments!

Most of the English Ivy (Invasive and bad for brick & stone) is down. We have pockets hanging on for dear life and all these tiny roots. A heavy duty brush isn’t working. We have tuck-pointing and repairs next but would like to clean it up to make that easier and to ensure there is not hidden damage. Any suggestions from those who have successfully removed ivy?

As info - Boston Ivy would be a good substitute for English Ivy. Don’t let the name fool you - both are nonnative ornamentals. Boston doesn’t dig into masonry. Is a climbing vine vs an evergreen (pretty fall colors before dying back). As for me, no thank you. I want you to see how beautiful she is💕
