The End of a Legacy – Our Final Farewell

After 30 years in the hospitality industry, IGO Legacy Hotel Group is officially closing this chapter of our story.

What began in the 1990s as Hospitality Investors — a partnership formed with the vision of building a single hotel — grew into a portfolio of more than a dozen hotels across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Michigan. Built on strong Midwest values of respect, excellence, and dedication, we were never simply in the business of selling hotel rooms. We were committed to creating memorable guest experiences, enriching the lives of our employees, and giving back to the communities we were honored to serve.

Following the heartbreaking loss of two of our founding partners, we made the difficult decision to sell our portfolio. Over the past year and a half, we have said goodbye one by one to properties, teams, and communities that meant so much to us. With the closing of our final hotel, this chapter officially comes to an end.

Unwinding a company built over decades is more than a business transition — it is deeply personal. Our hotels were filled with extraordinary general managers, dedicated team members, trusted corporate staff, loyal guests, and valued partners. The relationships formed and the impact made will always be the true legacy of IGO.

To every employee who wore our name with pride, every guest who chose to stay with us, and every community that welcomed and supported us — thank you. Because of you, we believe we fulfilled our mission of leaving behind something meaningful.

While this chapter closes, the legacy lives on in the people, the lessons, and the countless memories created along the way.

This post is IGO Legacy Hotel Group, LLC ‘s farewell to the wonderful community of Menominee, MI.

We have been honored to be a part of the community for the last 26 years as owners of the AmericInn – Menominee, 2330 10th Street. Unfortunately, due to significant health issues, IGO Legacy Hotel Group’s partners made the difficult decision that our entire hotel portfolio group of 12 hotels should be sold.

As such, August 28, 2025, was the last day of our proud ownership of this hotel. We want to thank the entire Menominee community for supporting us throughout the years. We especially want to thank the many dedicated and loyal hotel employees who worked for our hotel during our ownership. We were so fortunate to have such an amazing staff who lived and breathed hospitality.

We also say fond farewell to the many loyal guests who stayed at the hotel and enjoyed the hotel’s ambiance, the staff’s hospitality and the magical waterfront view of Green Bay.

While we say goodbye with heavy hearts, we leave with deep appreciation for this community and the wonderful relationships we have built. We wish AmericInn - Menominee continued success and prosperity under the new ownership.

🌟 Don’t worry—your favorite hotel on the Bay is still here! Note from the new ownership team: We want to assure everyone that the AmericInn – Menominee is not closing. The only change is in ownership. Our amazing staff is still here, and the hotel remains fully open to serve our community and guests. We look forward to welcoming you, just as always! 💙

Unfortunately, due to significant health issues, IGO Legacy Hotel Group’s partners made the difficult decision that our entire hotel portfolio group of 12 hotels should be sold.

As such, June 24, 2025, was the last day of our proud ownership of this hotel. We want to thank the entire Hermantown and Duluth communities for supporting us throughout the years. We especially want to thank the many dedicated and loyal hotel employees who worked for our hotel during our ownership. We were so fortunate to have such an amazing staff who lived and breathed hospitality.

Meet Adalia (Addie) Nachtsheim, the General Manager at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Duluth North, MN. Growing up in Moose Lake, MN, Addie dreamed of becoming a dancer. She credits her mom, who passed away from ALS, as her hero and a "bright light" to everyone who knew her. Inspired by her mom's positivity, Addie strives to make people feel equally welcomed and cherished.

We were thrilled to welcome Addie to the IGO Team in April 2024. With over nine years of experience in the hospitality industry, Addie began her career as a front desk associate while pursuing her college education. Her commitment to creating outstanding guest experiences and supporting her team by taking on additional responsibilities led to her promotion to General Manager.

One of Addie's most memorable hospitality moments was handing out water and treats to Grandma’s Marathon runners while working at a hotel on the racecourse. This “magical” experience was so impactful that, even after moving to a different hotel, she decided to participate in Grandma’s Half Marathon as a runner. Passionate about helping others grow and learn, Addie shares, “I never want to hold someone back from learning and continuing to better themselves.”

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, running, and most of all spending quality time with her husband and their three children.

Meet Susan Ratz, General Manager of Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Appleton, WI. Susan joined IGO Legacy Hotel Group in November of 2023 with 22 plus years in the hospitality industry. Starting her career off in Kentucky, Susan worked at an airline for many years before transitioning to a hotelier that eventually lead her to Ohio. Susan’s favorite things about working in hospitality are how the industry is constantly evolving and the opportunity it provides to interact with guests and create a positive impact in their stay. Growing up in a small town in northern Wisconsin, Susan’s childhood dream of working for an airline and hotel was fulfilled. The “icing on the cake” is her ability to continue this dream closer to where her hero, her mother, lives. When not focused on work, Susan can be found walking her dog in the park, camping, fishing and simply sitting around a fire (while munching on cheese curds) visiting with a family member or friend.

We recently placed the winter blues aside and pulled out some tropical fun to focus on our future! Over a two day period we incorporated peer sharing, leadership skills, and educational growth...all while mixing in a whole lot of fun!

It is not always easy to get away from the office and focus on professional growth and opportunities for property improvement. This week, three of our team members did just that at the Choice Hotels Choice Hotels Owners Council Fall Regional Meeting. Thank you to IGO Legacy Hotel Group for allowing us the time to discover the resources and solutions to elevate our Comfort Inn Saint Paul East property and team to the next level.

Meet Holly, General Manager of our Comfort Inn Saint Paul East. Holly started in hospitality February 2007, just 3 months after having her son. In subsequent years, Holly gained valuable experience working in laundry, breakfast, front desk, and assistant general manager prior to being promoted as General Manager in May 2022. Holly has been at the same property since 2011, which is why she is so passionate about her hotel and often refers to it as her home away from home. When asked what her favorite thing is about working in hospitality, she stated “Meeting new people every day.” When not working Holly enjoys drag racing, hanging out with her son, reading books, trying new tea brands from all over the world/small businesses, and munching on kettle chips. When growing up Holly wanted to be a cosmetologist, but we are sure glad she found her calling for hospitality.
