George and Florida Lake originally built their plantation home on the grounds during the early 1800s. Whitetail deer and various wildlife can be seen throughout this majestic property surrounding a scenic 80 acre lake stocked full of bluegill and largemouth bass. Lakewood is a private fenced habitat managed by the Grist and Robicheaux families. At Lakewood, we invite our guest to join us and share

in the abundant fishing and hunting found within the property. You can start your day off sitting on the deck of the main lodge watching the geese fly in and land on the lake. Then, wouldn't it be nice to end your day watching a beautiful sunset? This can be experienced from our guest cabin adjacent to the lakes northeast shore. Wind down in the evenings by indulging your tastebuds with "Fine Spirits & Cajun Cuisine"prepared at the main lodge. Fishing Prices Guided day trip with guides boat- $250.00 per person daily (guide boat accomodates 3 people) Includes: Overnight cabin facilities and evening meals for a minimum of 4 people. Non-guided overnight stay- $200 per person daily Includes: Overnight cabin facilities, evening meals, and aluminum boats with seating for 2. Minimum of 4 people. Day Fishing Trip- $150 per person daily Includes: Aluminum boats with seating for 2. Minimum of 4 people. Gratuities for Fish Cleaning/Guide Service- Not included in the above pricing but are highly appreciated. Fishing Limits Largemouth/Spotted Bass- 20 fish less than 14" in length per person daily. Fish larger than 14" must be returned to the lake. Northern Largemouth Bass- must be returned to the lake for proper breeding management. Bream/Bluegill- 50 fish per person daily Fishing Schedule March 15th to September 15th- fishing hours to be determined in advance at booking by the owners.
