Christmas isn’t just about a baby in a manger — it’s about a King choosing humility. Christ was born not in a palace, but in a feeding trough, showing from the very beginning that His kingdom would look different from the world’s idea of power.

The Magi didn’t arrive that night. Their journey likely took months, maybe even years, and by the time they reached Jesus, He was a toddler. Yet they still knelt before Him and brought gifts that spoke prophetically: gold for a King, frankincense for one who is divine, and myrrh — a substance used for burial.

It’s hard to imagine Mary, still so young, receiving myrrh. A gift that quietly pointed not only to her Son’s birth, but to His death. From the start, Christmas carried the weight of the cross — a reminder that Jesus came not just to live among us, but to give His life for us.

That’s the real reason for Christmas: God entering the world in humility, purpose, and love.
