Still have some work left to get outside where we want it but it’s getting close to done. The rain has been good and bad for moving the outside progress forward. The good is the grass didn’t need watered, the bad is the mud didn’t need watered either😬

We uncovered this gorgeous porch roof hidden from view. These boards protected and aged naturally over quite a few decades make the perfect finish detail. Fast forward to ceiling fan on high, rocking chair, and a big glass of iced sweet tea…my retreat from the summer time heat.

While it may look like we started and stopped a lot of painting lately it’s my way of picturing the finished product and making sure it suits our taste. Exterior trim Sherwin-Williams Ultra White, board and batton siding whitewashed in semi-transparent Cabot All-Weather White. Door painted in Sherwin-Williams Sleepy Hollow. Shutters, cedar-shake and lower surround stained in Cabot Sunlit Walnut. The whitewash semi-transparent stain will showcase the milled pine and also project an older restoration to blend into the landscape. You will also notice certain design elements that complement Ms. Bessie’s Bunglaow next door.
