Our beautiful community! This is why I love Highlands In the face of the disastrous effects from Hurricane Helena, we have no power, water, or cell service. Flooding intense, highways washed out or blocked by fallen trees. But our community and neighborhood immediately headed to the streets to check on each other. Those with chain saws appeared in the streets to help total strangers cut their way out of their trapped homes. The community center opened for showers, skyline communications and hot meals
I love living in a community where people come together without a thought of personal gain in times of crisis! This town is a blessing.
