I don’t often talk about our guests. However, our most recent ones came to Highmore from Dallas, Tx. It was the wife’s first visit to our state. Why did they choose now to arrive? SUNFLOWERS! They wanted to see sunflower and knew central SD was the place to look. They flew into Sioux Falls and drove to us. That always makes my heart happy. Next time, they go to Mt Rushmore.

During the storm on June 29th, we lost all four trees in the backyard. Don’t worry, there’s a at least one new one growing in the flower bed upfront. I love how these sucker trees seem to try and hide themselves among other plants.
