Hello Northwoods Campers and friends! Winter has arrived early at Forest Pond Campground with at least four inches of snow covering the grounds. Hard to believe that in just five and a half months it will once again be camping season!!
Thanks to all of our campers in 2022 that contributed to another very successful camping season. We are grateful to our seasonal campers and also to all of our transient campers that keep coming back year after year. We are so glad that you like our campground enough to keep returning.
We would like to inform all of you that our very popular, full power and water seasonal site #4, has opened up for the 2023 season.
If you know of any of your camper friends that would like to reserve this site for the season, please have them contact us at 715-298-0601. Have a great Winter. See you in May.

Happy Spring to all you Northwoods Campers! I say that with tongue in cheek as looking out the window here in Eagle River the snow is falling steadily. The campground has a 12-to-18-inch snow covering and with temperatures predicted to have highs of just above freezing for all of next week there will be very little snow melt.
To make a long story short, Forest Pond Campground will not be able to open up on May 1 this year. We are targeting an opening date of Friday, May 6th, which will correspond with the opening of the Wisconsin fishing season.
If you plan to camp with us the weekend of May 6, please call us on May 1 or later to confirm that we will be able to open then. Best number to call for this is 715-432-7015.
We look forward to seeing you folks camping with us this summer.

Hello Northwoods Campers. It was minus 17 degrees at Forest Pond Campground this morning, but hey, it is less than four months before the opening of the campground! Think Spring.
To all of you that camped with us in 2021, thank you. You helped us reach another record year and your business is very much appreciated.
Due to a couple of late cancellations, we now have two full power and water hook-up RV seasonal sites available for the 2022 season. If you, or any of your camping friends are interested in reserving one of these sites, please call us at 715-432-7015.

Happy Spring Northwoods Campers!
Although last night's late Spring snowstorm has left a white ground cover at Forest Pond Campground, rest assured that the snow will all be melted by this coming weekend's opening on May 1. This weekend's forecast is for sunny days and temps in the mid 50's, so come on up!
I have heard from folks that with the COVID vaccines well under way and things finally starting to get "somewhat normal" again that they are really getting anxious to go camping once more.

Hello again Northwoods campers. Forest Pond Campground is once again in hibernation with snow covering the ground already! Marlene and I want to thank all of those that camped with us this summer. Because folks were anxious to get away from their isolation caused by that awful virus, and to enjoy the clean safe air of Northern WI, we had a very successful season. No known virus cases at Forest Pond! On a little different note, we have had two full power and water RV hook-up seasonal sites open up for our 2021 season, which runs from the first of May to the first weekend in Oct. Hello Northwoods campers! As you can see from the photo below, autumn is a great time to camp at Forest Pond. This neat family enjoyed cooking marshmallows, hiking our scenic trails, and the kids just loved our children's playground. Hello Northwoods Campers-- Forest Pond Campground is in full swing with some very nice reports of big Muskies caught in some nearby
lakes! Also our June campers are reporting some nice perch caught in our very own Forest Pond. Right now we have two full power and water sites still available for the July fourth week and weekends before and after the fourth. We would love to reserve one of these site for you, so plan to come on up!

We did it! The Saturday for the Journey's Marathon in Eagle River was by far the best weather day of this Spring and Forest Pond Campground managed to get enough done to open up for the racers. Whew!
The response for Memorial Day weekend is great and we still have some very nice sites available. Wisconsinites are so fed up with having to endure the worst winter in history they are anxiously making camping reservations for this summer. Won't you join them?
We replaced our aging solar batteries with the state-of-the-art Rolls sealed batteries that should last for years. We should be finishing up the renovation on the boardwalk out to Forest Pond.
We will be welcoming a new family from Green Bay as our latest seasonal campers.
We will be putting plastic coverings over the racks of firewood that are at each site to keep your campfire wood dry.

Labor Day Weekend is over and thanks to those that shared the really pleasant camping weather in the Northwoods. September has some of the best camping weather---warm days and cool nights, great for those campfires! We will be open through the first weekend in Oct. which also coincides with the great Eagle River's Cranberryfest celebration. Won't you come and enjoy both?
