Woodland Trails Lodge and Cabin Woodland Trails Lodge and Cabin are upscale country houses located near the St. Croix River, between Cloud or Eau Claire. Also added was a screened porch.

Croix River, between Hinckley MN and Danbury WI, an easy two-hour drive from the Twin Cities, Duluth, St. The Lodge was built in 2003 to be a B & B and upgraded regularly since. It was converted to whole-house rental, in 2020. The Lodge has modern features like soundproofing between rooms, geothermal heating and central air conditioning. At the time, the Cabin had one bedroom, one bath and sat on a crawl space. Before building the the Lodge, the Cabin was moved across the field where a lower, walkout level with two more bedrooms and a bath were added. Woodland Trails is 11 years old this year but, when you walk in, we hope you'll agree is looks as though it was built this year. That's because imporvements an d renovations have been a continuous process since the beginning. Guests Izabela and Matthew, who are originally from Poland, were exploring our trails when they noticed mushrooms that reminded them of Poland. For bicycle enthusiasts, we've just added a pair of fat tire bikes. These bikes have huge tires inflated with low pressure. They were originally designed for winter use and work fine on our trails with less than two inches of snow. They will also be fun on the trails during the summer.

Woodland Trails was built to be a B & B. With tasteful rustic décor, it is nestled on 500 wooded acres. Outside guests enjoy the private trails for hiking or touring on complimentary golf carts. Inside relaxation is easy in front of the woodburning fireplace while watching wildlife out the windows.
