On Wednesday this happened at our RV Park…

From the couple renting our friends RV…
Found:

“This puppy showed up yesterday and we hoped someone would show up looking for it.”

I was 50 miles away at work so I called my brother Jim and let him know, he said he’d go check it out.
(p.s. i was bawling my head off!).

Moments later from my brother Jim: “I have the pup.”

Then the photos…

Then my visit to see the pup last night after work…

Then this evening…

From Jim: “The puppy is leaving for Wisconsin tomorrow. My friend Jen listed him and 4 people within an hour wanted him. I'm happy but sad too.... He's a sweetie....”

My response:

Wow! Little boy blue… goodbye for now…you got a big blessing in your saviors: Julie, Mitchell, Jim and Territory Route 66 RV Park & Campgrounds!

Hope you are loved immensely and cherished forever…
you deserve that and more!❤️🐾🐾❤️🐾🐾❤️

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

Here are the winners posing in front of the famous new curtains of our BIG, NO, it was REALLY BIG! contest to guess the background color of said new curtains!

The winners received an all* expense paid trip to….

Eischen’s in Okarche, Oklahoma!

(*except for the fuel, the winner, Carol wanted to do the driving!)

This Oklahoma destination has been featured on the popular Diners, Drive Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri as well as being in the spotlight of many other media outlets and receiving many awards.

Most famous for the specially seasoned fried chicken,
crispy fried okra (ok-ree as some of us call it! Cathey B!),
best house-made chili, and a few other menu items.

If you leave hungry it’s your own fault!

This photo of the winners was taken after sharing a great Eischen’s fried chicken/fried okra meal complete with sliced white bread, sliced onions, sweet and dill pickles, hot sauce and plenty of H2O!
(Food photos are from a prior visit, no chili was eaten at this visit though there was a to go order placed!)

It’s becoming Autumn soon in Oklahoma and for some of us, it’s the autumn of our lives…but then again for some it’s just Spring…
