Hey there bluegrass fans! Our friends at Bluegrass Music Association Of Maine have asked us to spread the word about their big Birthday Bash happening this weekend- Saturday, April 11 at 317 Main Community Music Center in Yarmouth.

It is hard to imagine that it is only about a year ago that the idea of the The Crooked River Gathering was taking form. In a short time a community came together and something magical was formed.

The New England summer festival season is still months away, but don't despair!

The Crooked River Gathering is proud to be a sponsor of the Showcase Stage at the 40th Anniversary Joe Val Bluegrass Festival hosted by Boston Bluegrass Union!

The Joe Val Bluegrass Festival, held on February 12-15, 2026, at the Sheraton/Renaissance in Framingham, MA. There will be top-notch bands, workshops, classes, Showcase Stage, and 24 hour jamming all weekend. Among the many great bands includes Del McCory, Gibson Brothers, Special Consensus, and many more. We did it! From the very beginning The Crooked River Gathering has been a collaboration and a collective—over 100 volunteers, 150 artists and skillshare teachers, over 75 stage and founders donors, and over a dozen work weekend stage builders and campsite clearers, plus of course a few thousand attendees who picked tunes all night and gave us all a reason to do it again next year. We’ll be posting more photos from the event soon, maybe after a few snoozes by a lake! But in the meantime, we’ll see you all again same time, same place, Labor Day weekend 2026!

What a fun few days we’ve had so far! From discovering some great edible mushrooms on the skillshare walk, to dancing in the sun, and staying up late for the Manic Mountain stage performances, and everything in between, we can’t wait to spend one more day with you all!
