fries and first dates, and the dock you land at when you just need to exhale. Whether you’re camping on-site, catching live music, or toasting to something special, Eastbay is here for the moments that matter. As the new owners, Bill Bertrand and Ben Abfalter, we’re proud to restore and reimagine this special place with deep respect for its legacy and a clear focus on its future. We both live part-time on Lake Holcombe, and we don’t just run Eastbay—we believe in it. We’ve walked these docks, shared these views, and we know just how much this place means to those who call it home (or home for the weekend). Eastbay is also about people—our team is made up of hardworking, big-hearted locals who care deeply about your experience. From the kitchen to the dock to the dining room, they’re the ones who make the magic happen. We are honored to work beside them and support them as they bring Eastbay to life, one shift at a time. We’re also deeply committed to our community. Whether it’s through hosting fundraisers, supporting local talent, or partnering with area organizations, we see Eastbay as a gathering place that reflects the heart of Holcombe. The weather finally broke… and man, yesterday at Eastbay was something special.

Seeing the docks packed, the patio full, boats circling in, kids running around, music on the water, and people just genuinely happy to be here reminded us exactly why we took this place on in the first place.

Truthfully, we’re just grateful.

Grateful for the support.
Grateful for the patience as we continue growing.
And grateful that so many of you chose to spend your holiday weekend with us at the lake.

And for those who had to wait a little longer for a drink, food, or a table yesterday — we sincerely apologize. We’re not making excuses. The reality is, it’s almost impossible to staff for one single day of energy like that without having people standing around the other 51 weekends of the year. But our team gave everything they had, and we appreciate the grace so many of you showed us throughout the day.

Now let’s run it back one more time today. ☀️🌊
