fries and first dates, and the dock you land at when you just need to exhale. Whether you’re camping on-site, catching live music, or toasting to something special, Eastbay is here for the moments that matter. As the new owners, Bill Bertrand and Ben Abfalter, we’re proud to restore and reimagine this special place with deep respect for its legacy and a clear focus on its future. We both live part-time on Lake Holcombe, and we don’t just run Eastbay—we believe in it. We’ve walked these docks, shared these views, and we know just how much this place means to those who call it home (or home for the weekend). Eastbay is also about people—our team is made up of hardworking, big-hearted locals who care deeply about your experience. From the kitchen to the dock to the dining room, they’re the ones who make the magic happen. We are honored to work beside them and support them as they bring Eastbay to life, one shift at a time. We’re also deeply committed to our community. Whether it’s through hosting fundraisers, supporting local talent, or partnering with area organizations, we see Eastbay as a gathering place that reflects the heart of Holcombe. A HERO’S PLACE AT EASTBAY

On Sunday, September 13, we are reserving a special place at Eastbay for one deserving local veteran and their guest.

They will receive a reserved table for two, two tickets to the entire event, dinner on Eastbay and an opportunity to meet Darryl Worley, subject to artist availability.

Nominating someone is easy.

Comment below or message us privately through Messenger with the veteran’s name, branch of service and a few words about why they should experience A Hero’s Place at Eastbay.

The nominee should be a veteran from our area who is available September 13. Nominate a family member, friend, neighbor, coworker—or yourself. We don’t need a formal essay. We simply want to hear their story.

This is not a popularity contest and will not be determined by likes or shares. We would love to honor every person who has served, and we value that service equally. We have one special experience available, so Eastbay will thoughtfully select one veteran and contact them privately before sharing their name.

Supporting America’s military has been one of the defining convictions of Darryl Worley’s life and career. He has completed more than 15 USO tours and traveled into areas of active military operations to perform for our troops.

His first trip to Kuwait and Afghanistan changed him deeply. After returning home, he co-wrote “Have You Forgotten?”—the song that spent seven weeks at No. 1 and became one of the most powerful songs of its generation.

This is much more than a concert. It is an entire day at Eastbay:

Only two Eastbay Sunday Brunches remain this season—and we’re pairing this one with a very special afternoon of live music.

🥞 Sunday Brunch • 10 AM–1 PM

Build your own waffle and omelet, then fill your plate with carved meats, bacon, eggs, potatoes, soups, salad bar and a rotating selection of Eastbay favorites.

Friday is looking like a perfect 80° late-summer day at Eastbay—and we’re turning it into one hell of a night.

Start with our $15 Friday Fish Fry, served from 4–9 PM:
