Our love affair with Holden Beach!

We first came to Holden Beach about twenty eight years ago when my sister vacationing here. We fell in love with the east end of the beach, enjoying both the ease of access to the water and the small crowds on the beach.

In 2000 we decided to make the plunge and become a Holden Beach property owner. We found a great house at the dead end of Carolina Avenue and since we are Tar Heel fans we thought the location was perfect!

We believe that most families are searching for affordable vacations in great houses and that is what we try to provide at Second Base. If it is your first time or 50th time visiting Holden Beach please consider renting Second Base - you won’t be disappointed.
