Another electric rate increase. They switched to hourly rates recently, which already made an increase. The rates are now higher for the warm season.

There has been a request for statements to reflect when payments are received. Beginning with the statements mailed on April 1, 2026, a section will be included showing the previous balance, date payment was received, and balance carried forward (if applicable).

Please remember that electric payments are due upon receipt to avoid any interruption of service. Lot rent is due in full on the date stated.

Payments may also be made in advance. We will keep track of your usage and notify you when your credit is running low so you can add funds and avoid late penalties or reconnection fees.

We are enjoying some snow days on the coast! All is well and we will keep an eye out as road conditions allow. During freezing temperatures we check more frequently, but will only be able to travel during the sunny part of the day when the ice is less.

Invoices for this month may be delayed. Our postal workers are not working in ideal conditions, currently. Invoices will go in the mail today 📫

That message will include your correct invoice amount for the January statement. There was lots of flooding from the storm, but everything at the Campground seems to be ok. We have pumps in place to help us with standing water, that were activated before the heavy rains began. As of now, it is not wise to try to travel to the campground with all of the road closures. Roads are still flooded over and lots of roads have washed out and collapsed. The largest collection of water was on the section at the bathhouse and laundry room. All water has receded and the bathroom and laundry room are drying out. There should be no damage to campers and there was no strong winds during the storm. Stay safe!

Hurricane Ian is gone and everything is fine at the campground. Some of the campground still has power out but BEMC has been diligently working. Other than that we got very little water and there is no water standing. There are a few limbs to pick up but no damage. It's a sunny day and our little area looks like a storm never came through.

Many have been calling and messaging asking about damage following lastnights storm. Our part of the County is fine. The campground suffered no damages. We only received strong thunderstorms and a brief power outage. The ocean Isle/ Grissettown area is in need of prayer. Tornadoes have taken homes and lives in that area.
