We have a very special story to share with you. 🤍
In July 1948, Florence Rattner Pomerantz married her husband, Maurice, here at The Hollywood Roosevelt. This past weekend, 78 years later, she returned with her family to celebrate her 110th birthday.
The young bride in these wedding photographs is Florence herself.
Born in Chicago on October 14, 1916, Florence moved to Los Angeles in 1947. After losing Maurice in 1952, she raised their two sons, Mark and Ron, as a single mother, building a life for her family with remarkable determination. Today, that family includes grandchildren and great-grandchildren—and remains her greatest joy.
When asked about the secret to her long life, Florence shares: “It has truly been the love of my growing family. I don’t want to miss anything.”
To welcome her back to the place where she married, surrounded by the family that grew from that love, means more than we can put into words.
Happy 110th birthday, Florence. Thank you for making our history part of yours, and for returning to make another beautiful memory.
With love,
Your Hollywood Roosevelt family.
