Just had to share this photo of Sara of Ensembles of the Past. Love the details and something that you normally wouldn't see...the hand-pleated silk organza I used on the underside of the brim.

Once again, details have my heart, and I put quite a bit of time into the details on this 1780s polonaise gown of mine, especially on the bodice and sleeves. This photo by ALS Photo - Jean-Christophe Peyrard shows the contrasting purple silk trimming on the zonal waist, the bow knot, and my silk satin belt and antique buckle quite well. But not only that, this photograph also showcases the pleating on the inside of my hat (made by Deborah Olson Milliner Extraordinaire) and the pretty organdy frills on the base of my sleeves. 🌸
