Because of the warm waters in the Gulf, sea turtle season has started two weeks early. We already have wonderful volunteers walking the beach at dawn looking for tell tale tracks. If you are here during the season (until November) remember no lights on the beach at night and fill in holes on the beach. We welcome these seasonal visitors.

Introducing the Island Pearl. The boat, Island Pearl, will take passengers up and down the island from Bradenton Beach, to Holmes Beach, to the City of Anna Maria working as a water taxi. It will also do sunset cruises. Sounds like a new fun way to get around the island.

If you are not here for spring break don't dispair, in two weeks the crowds will be gone, the weather will remain wonderful and you can actually get through the aisles at Publix. Maybe the smartest move you can make is to come here in late April and May before the summer season heats up.
