We offered free temporary sites to people evacuating from the fires in Brantley County GA. We had a man and his wife come to us during the Brantley wildfire evacuation.
After being here free of charge for 3 weeks and evacuation lifted they paid for a month. Then it became we need another week. We prorated it because of "their hardship". They kept extending. Then they pulled in another camper and tried to pay the prorated fee. When I asked what their plan was the man became aggressive and because I had my grandchild in the car I backed down. I called my chief of police. He told me not engage with him again. When our police chief confronted him he was also confrontational with him but he did leave. Evidently he is a fireman who is out on medical leave after a head on collision with a fire truck who was told by his fire chief to apologize. It also became apparent that he was not mandatorial evacuated and it seems he was taking advantage of the situation.
This person left a very negative review on Google. I'm not sure if you can respond to him or just leave a thumbs down for him and a thumbs up for my reply. Any positive response would be appreciated. No good deed goes unpunished.

No pictures from our memorial day gathering. It poured. Camilo and Amerie were out puddle stomping till the lightening. People showed up in rain coats.. rain boots... everybody laughing.

The best thing we bought for summer hots and hams was the 3 ft griddle. No rain grilling for us today.

Salads, baked beans, pie, cookies and brownies and lots of commraderie. 🍔🌭

Respect and thankfulness for those who sacrificed their lives for our country. We live in a great country.🇱🇷

Thankful for all our park people and all they do.❤️
