🦌The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, through its constitution, is a Patriotic Order, and the Order promotes the ideals that the citizens of this nation live in freedom, won through the great sacrifices and many tribulations which have provided the foundation for a free, prosperous and independent life.

⚽️We are excited to announce our annual ELKS SOCCER SHOOT event that is scheduled for Friday, September 11th, in the field behind West Homer Elementary School - rain or shine!⚽️🎉

📋Pre-registration is encouraged but if not, parents and students may register the day of the event. Parents/Guardians MUST accompany the child at registration, as well as sign the form giving their student(s) approval to participate.

👧This is a fun event for all youth between the ages of 5 and 15 years! Please pass along and encourage your child to participate!🧒

👁To "donate life" means to give organs, eyes, or tissues to save or heal other people🫀

To choose to register as a donor, gives consent for your organs and tissues to be used after death to save or heal someone in need through transplantation.

According to data tracked by the organization, a single deceased organ donor can save up to eight lives, and a tissue donor can heal or improve the lives of more than 75 people.

You may also donate while living, such as a kidney or part of a liver to a family member or friend.

Elks Lead Nation in Honoring 9/11 Heroes on 25th Anniversary

Chicago, IL – September 11, 2026 – Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, Elks Lodges across the United States, Puerto Rico, the Philippines and the Panama Canal will come together to remember, honor and never forget.

Through Patriots Day ceremonies and community events, Elks will pay tribute to the nearly 3,000 Americans who lost their lives and honor the firefighters, police officers, first responders, military members and ordinary citizens whose courage and sacrifice defined that day.

September 11 brought America together in its darkest hour. Twenty-five years later, the Elks are committed to keeping that spirit of unity, patriotism and service alive.

For more than 157 years, the Elks have served America and its communities. Today, nearly 800,000 members in approximately 1,800 Lodges continue that tradition, contributing more than $553 million in charitable service, goods and volunteer time in 2025 alone.

We remember those we lost. We honor those who served. And we recommit ourselves to serving the communities and country they gave so much to protect. The Elks will never forget.

🇺🇲This ceremony is open to the community.

🇺🇲If you have a worn U.S. Flag you would like properly disposed of, you may give it to one of our Lodge Officers or drop it off at the Lodge after 3p Monday through Saturday.
