💰Tonight, June 8, 2026, Homer Lodge #2127 Trustees Matthew Hockema and Les Gardner, along with PER Jill Hockema, had the honor of presenting the Homer Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Youth Cadet Program with an Elks National Foundation Gratitude Grant in the amount of $4,000.00!💥

🇺🇲CAP will use the Grant funds to directly procure supplies for parades - such as Flags, flag poles, and flag belts, and Rifles & rifle belts. Other supplies - flight simulator, backpacks, camping mats, 24-hour Kit, etc.

✨️CAP is a year long development program for youth 12 years and up. Cadet sponsors and active senior members are also there to help support the CAP cadet program.

👩‍🏫🏋‍♂️The squadron combines both a consistent drive for education, fitness, and leadership development with a spirit of fun and adventure⛺️🧗

🇺🇲Sunday, June 14th, 2026, is Flag Day.

The Homer Elks Lodge #2127 will hold its annual Flag Day service at 3p, dowstairs at the Lodge. 🏛️🇺🇸

We invite you to join us for a ceremony that takes us through the history of the evolution of the changing Flag. 📜✨ Homer Emblem Club #350 will conduct the presentation of those Flag's.

✨️We are privileged to have special guest, Alaska State Elks Association President Janice Bruchhauser-Levra in attendance.

🎉Our Lodge had the pleasure of initiating nine new members last night! Our membership has now reached 355, a clear indication of steady growth.

The Elks is a non-profit organization and a private club - we are not open to the public.

🇺🇲Memorial Day marks a day of remembrance, as we honor those who served our country and made the ultimate sacrifice. Their sacrifice forms the bedrock of the freedoms we cherish today.

🦌As members of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, we stand united in gratitude for the courage, duty, and selflessness of the fallen. We also extend our heartfelt remembrance to the families who carry their legacy forward🙏

🕒Today, at 3p, we kindly request all Elks and friends to pause in reflection, to honor those who never returned home, and to ensure their service is never forgotten.

We remember. We are grateful. We honor them always.

🎉We extend our congratulations to Kade McCorison, a senior at Ninilchik School, for being awarded a Lodge Scholarship by the Homer Elks Lodge #2127 on Wednesday, May 20, 2026!

Kade is pictured with our Youth Activities Chair, Brittany Paquette.

Our congratulations also go out to Liv Harvilla, a senior at Bristol Bay School, who was also a recipient of a Homer Elks Lodge #2127 Lodge Scholarship!
