Zuber's is closing its doors on August 25. Below is a letter of explanation from Inkeeper Bonnie, along with a picture from her and Brian's first day owning Zuber's.

It is with mixed emotions that I share with you, I have accepted an offer on Zuber’s, and it will be closing on August 25, 2025.

This building will now become a multi-generational family home, much like the early days of the Amana Colonies. I am sad that this will no longer be a B & B, but I am happy for the family who will make this their extended family home.

On May 8th of 2013, Brian and I bought Zuber’s from Yana and David Cutler. They had a wonderful place going, and we did our best to maintain and add to the experience of staying at Zuber’s. We were blessed to meet so many new guests who became friends over the years. There are so many wonderful memories here, and also some sad ones. Saturday, Aug. 2nd was the 2-year date of Brian’s passing.

With the sale of Zuber’s, I will also sell our home and move to the Des Moines area to be near my kids and 4 grandkids. I want to thank everyone for your support and friendship over the years!

Jo and I will begin calling those who have reservations to let you know we will not be able to honor those anymore.

HOWEVER…..We have quite a few rooms open (mostly weekdays) if you want to come and stay at Zuber’s one more time before the 24th!!
