The legendary Dragonfly Ranch: Healing Arts Center in Honaunau is hosting the second event of "Aina to Opu Foodie Club" on Saturday, March 16. Gourmet master chef with 30 years experience, Rakesh Patel, will be creating an authentic Italian dinner celebrating pre-St. Patrick's Day. Rakesh will be sharing cooking tips for those interested in learning. Dinner will be served on the Sunset Lanai at 6:00. Prior to the meal at 5:00, Guest speaker, 91 year old Dance teacher Richard Mayor, will share his knowledge of dancing in the Illuminarium. He will teach about "feeling" the music. Provided there is time, he will teach us few dance steps. Couples as well as individuals are welcome to attend this joy filled gathering, but be sure to come early as there are only 12 spots available. To secure Reservations call Rakesh at 808–443-1543. A fee of $50 is required to join the Foodie Club and share in the festivities!

Aloha friends 🌺, this Sunday the 25th at 4pm, we will be hosting Amanda Rose who offers a gentle yoga class which invites clarity and grounding in the body, mind and spirit. The yoga practice ends with a sound bath, during which Amanda plays a variety of instruments and utilizes the voice to create a soothing soundscape and a relaxing, meditative journey✨. Donations are appreciated. Hope to see you there! Mahalo❤️

My sincere apology to Heather Parsons and Bobbie Bryant

Our innocent young Dragonfly Ranch graphic designer found some inspirational words about death on the Internet. Without telling me or Heather Parsons about where she found those beautiful words, she created a poster with those words written by another respected Death Doula, Bobbi Bryant. While this unfortunate decision was made without our knowledge, I want to clarify that Heather Parsons is a woman of extraordinary integrity. Heather had nothing to do with this plagiarism. She is all about grace and love. For that reason and because of this confusion, Heather decided to cancel her three day retreat at the Dragonfly Ranch--even though she had absolutely nothing to do with this mistake in judgement. Those of us looking forward to dancing and singing with Heather and learning from her about helping people during the death process, are saddened by this. At the same time, we respect Heather's decision to defer to and respect Bobbi Bryant's choice of words belonging entirely to her and her business. ~ Barbara Moore
