Sundays in Kahala have a rhythm worth keeping, and it starts at the Sunday Brunch Buffet.

Plumeria Beach House lays out an open-air spread of elevated brunch classics, fresh seafood, and the Kahala favorites regulars come back for. Carving stations, chilled seafood, live music drifting across the terrace, and enough range that everyone at the table finds their plate. Seating is limited, so a reservation is the move.

Sundays | 11:00am to 2:00pm
$97 adult / $49 keiki (ages 6 to 12), plus tax and gratuity

Three voices, three different roads to the same stage, one sound that could only be Hawaiian.

Leo Hone o Kahala returns to the open-air terrace at Plumeria Beach House, and this month it is Lawakua. Lina Robins, Ikaika Blackburn, and Iwalani Hoʻomanawanui Apo each come from their own corner of Hawaiian music, and when they sing together, you hear exactly why they found each other.

Harmony that carries the whole spirit of the islands, out under the last of the evening light.

Presented with the Hawaiian Music Perpetuation Society.

October is National Seafood Month, and Kahala takes that seriously.

This is the kind of spread that turns a dinner into an occasion. Maine lobster tail, snow crab, jumbo prawns, and fresh mussels, with a sashimi selection of ʻahi, salmon, and hamachi, all on ice. Built to share, meant to linger over.

The ocean is right there past the terrace at Plumeria Beach House.

Island fall means lunch still happens outside.

Plates on the open-air terrace at Plumeria Beach House, iced tea in hand, and the Kahala shoreline just past the palms.

By October, the Kahala shoreline settles into its quietest, prettiest stretch of the year.

The light comes in a little softer now, the umbrellas stay up, and the terrace at Plumeria Beach House looks out on the same reef and the same swaying palms it always has.

Island fall does not arrive with a chill. It arrives with room to breathe, an open table, and an afternoon that asks nothing of you.

Kahala mornings are made for the slow first cup.

September has that easy morning light, the kind that makes you want to sit with breakfast a little longer.

Coffee poured fresh at the table, eggs and potatoes still warm, a bit of fruit, and the trade winds coming across the lawn at Plumeria Beach House.

National Coffee Day just gives you the excuse to linger over it.

Some places do not just pass through time. They hold it.

This stretch of the Kahala coast has looked out over the same ocean since 1964.

The palms are taller now, the faces have changed, but a slow morning here still feels the way it always has. That is the quiet magic of Plumeria Beach House. It carries its history lightly, and it shares it with everyone who pulls up a chair.

The Legacy of Aloha package is an invitation into that story.

Daily breakfast for two here at Plumeria Beach House, a $150 dining credit at Alan Wong's, and a $100 spa credit at The Kahala Spa, all with no resort fees.

Available now through December 20, 2026, on stays of four nights or more.

The next Leo Hone o Kahala has a date, and it is one to plan around.

On Thursday, October 15, Lawakua brings their harmonies to the open-air terrace at Plumeria Beach House. Three voices, one unmistakably Hawaiian sound, and an evening built for slowing all the way down as the light goes low over the water.

Presented by the Hawaiian Music Perpetuation Society and KISCA.

Some lunches do not need to be an event to be the best part of the day.

A club stacked with turkey, bacon, and avocado on toasted bread, a bright little side salad, and an iced tea sweating in the September warmth.

The kind of easy midday plate that tastes right when the summer rush has finally eased off and there is no reason to hurry back.

Iced tea or something stronger with lunch?

The best afternoons here do not really have a plan.

Someone orders a little of everything, someone else nurses a cold drink a bit too long, and the conversation keeps going after the plates are cleared.

That is a September afternoon at Plumeria Beach House, the crowds gone quiet, the trade winds easy, the ocean sitting right there past the lawn.
