Losing a friend from the camping family feels like having a page torn from the book of our life. A chapter that was filled with laughter, shared secrets, unforgettable adventures, and a bond that transcended mere friendship.
When you ask anyone at the campground what you remember most about Jim and Karen, it always began with their stories of the cross-county trip every weekend getting here.
But the bond was not just about the adventures; it was about the quiet moments too. Those late-night conversations with all his friends and family on his deck watching the sunsets. To share the stories of his life's adventures. It was during these moments the whole campground, truly got to know the depth of Jim and Karens soul. Beneath the vibrant exterior was a compassionate heart, an introspective mind, and a spirit that sought to have influence in the world.
My friend, the early morning coffee clubs on the weekends has left this place with a huge void to fill. A simple text, a brief call, or an unexpected visit was enough to bridge the gap of time and distance between the seasonal families during the winter months!
