Long emotional post alert: Been running the hostel for almost a month now, and we just hosted our 100th hiker!! It’s been a beautiful chaos getting so busy so quickly, one that we definitely weren’t expecting. We’ve been lucky enough to get to know so many people this last month— my soul is filled with the realization that I’ve been able to find something in common with every single one of them, ranging from age 10 to 72. Engaging in easy conversation—sometimes heavy, sometimes light—as we wind around the mountains of Western North Carolina has been an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling experience. To all those we’ve had the pleasure of knowing, we wish you nothing but the best, and happy, safe travels on the rest of your journey! To all those headed our way, we cant wait to meet you—we’ll be waiting for you at the Gap.
