The Oliver was built in 1905 as a 26-room hotel. Transformed in 2022 into 6 luxury 1 and 2-bedroom apartments offering modern amenities. A short one-block walk and you are on Central Avenue, Bathhouse Row, the Art District, with a wide variety of restaurants, shopping of all kinds and varied entertainment. Enjoy a short cab/uber ride to Oaklawn Park for the finest horse racing in the south and try

your luck at the newly renovated casino. Back at the ‘HISTORIC OLIVER’ you will find walk-in showers, king and queen beds, full modern kitchens, spacious living area, Wi-Fi, TV, coffee maker, the finest of furnishings sitting on refinished heart pine flooring. Each apartment has its own washer and dryer. There are 5 one-bedroom apartments designed for two people to enjoy and 1-two-bedroom owners suite for four adults (Upon availability). Parking is on Ouachita Avenue or in the back of the building. We have parking for four compact cars. There are two ways to enter the building. We recommend the back parking lot! You can enter at the front door at 246 Ouachita; However, there are 31 steps to the apartment level. The suggested way to enter the building would be using deck 2 in the back of the building where you only have 10 steps to enter on the 2nd floor of the building. Please feel free to use the decks for drinks or just relax after a fun day in Hot Springs. There are No Parking Fees on the street or in the parking lot to Historic Oliver. The Oliver 2nd level was a 26 room 1-Bath hotel in 1905. Downstairs on the first floor was a grocery store, taxi stand(horse drawn) cigar shop and newsstand. Prohibition came along…. Inside each apartment is a description of what went on in the “OLIVER!” The MEN drank and gambled while the women, well let’s say they…. Come and stay at the “OLIVER” for the rest of the story. Reservations can be made for a chauffeur- driven 1934 Buick to take you down Central Avenue, stop in the ‘Ohio Club’ for a drink, and have your picture taken with ‘Big AL’…. bring your FEDORA! You are just steps away from the best pizza in Hot Springs at the SQZBX Brewery & Pizza which is a family-run parlor dishing up classic pizzas, salads & subs, plus house-brewed beer in cozy quarters. Adding that you can eat at the Colorado Grill in a casual atmosphere serving Mexican favorites & margaritas in a historic building with exposed-brick walls just like Historic Oliver.
