An intimate winemaker dinner at America’s First Resort with Benziger Family Winery, and yes—even a surprise hello from the owner himself. From hearing Isabel Whittaker, certified wine professional, share the stories behind Benziger’s acclaimed Sonoma wines to swapping highland cow stories over even sweeter pours, the night felt straight out of a wine lover’s dream.

A four-course, wine-centric menu carried us from Virginia’s renowned Allegheny trout to a spiced chocolate cake paired with raspberry sorbet, and somehow every course topped the last.

Good wine, great stories, unforgettable company. This one is definitely going in the books. 🍇🥂

The competition is heating up. 🍸

After reviewing an incredible lineup of creative cocktail submissions from bartenders across Virginia, we're excited to introduce the semifinalists in the 2026 Virginia Cocktail Games.

These competitors have advanced to the next stage with cocktails inspired by this year's theme, **Time in a Bottle**, showcasing creativity, craftsmanship and storytelling through Virginia spirits.

Beginning in July, we'll spotlight each semifinalist, their cocktail and the inspiration behind their creation.

Then in August, you'll have the chance to get involved when **People's Choice Voting** opens and help decide who advances to the final round.
