You're walking the Appalachian Trail and at mile 274, the wilderness does something it almost never does. It hands you a town.

Not a road crossing. Not a resupply box at a post office window. A full town, with blazes etched into the sidewalk concrete to keep you on track between the Smoky Mountain Diner and the hot springs. Our town is one of the only places on the entire AT where the trail and Main Street are the same thing.

Head north and the trail finds the French Broad, walking beside the river before it lifts you up to Lover's Leap. The valley opens wide. You see why hikers stop here. You start to understand why some of them never really leave.

Town & Trail Festival is May 1 & 2. Two free days to celebrate the trail, the river, and the community that's made a home here beside both of them. Come see for yourself.

Broadwing Farm Cabins offers 2 Cabins for rent, each with a private outdoor hot tub filled with only fresh, warm mineral water. The Pine and Cedar Cabins are on our 85 acre farm, less than 1 mile from downtown Hot Springs, North Carolina.

Both our Pine and Cedar Cabins sleep 4/ 1 queen bedroom/1 bath. We are dog friendly and provide wifi. We have a 2 Night Minimum, but if you see a single night on our calendar left available by other reservations, you can grab that single night for a quick getaway!

Gas prices getting you down??? Oooof. We're offering $10/Night off any new weeknight bookings (Monday-Thursday) for April 2026.
