My friend and I spent the first week of August 2026 at the Pickled pike. Our main goal was to relax and decompress. And, we met our goal . The place was very clean. The lake side of the house had mostly windows. There was a spacious deck out the sliders. The dock was very nice. It was a newer dock that felt very sturdy. And sturdy steps leading down to the water . My guess is it's close to 3 feet deep at the end of the dock, with sand bottokm. We spent a few hours each day just floating in the water .But a little drop off further out. The drop off is easy to cast a fishing line to. We had some luck at sunrise. But much more at sunset casting off the end of the dock. Mostly pan fish, and some bass. The sunrise was beautiful, and can get some sunset colors too. We plan on making this a yearly trip.
