The team was out last night packing and doing what we can. The Portage Lake Lift Bridge has been reopened, ride with extreme caution, it’s icy and THIN. Conditions in / near towns are thin. Trail 124 and 122 closed for logging, Gay is still accessible by Trail 133. Early season conditions across the system; rocks, water holes, unexpected obstacles, icy base, ice chunks. Ride with caution! Packing and grooming to continue as conditions permit, subscribe to Groomer Tracker for most up to date information!

We will begin working on the Portage Lake Lift Bridge crossing tomorrow (Monday Jan 15th), with the City of Houghton. We will update when the crossing is open, until then please do not attempt crossing the waterway.
