This evening, a small but excited delegation of members from Temple Lodge No. 4 (WM Tom Tinsley, SW Jonathan Myers, and PM Howard Aron) had a wonderful evening visiting Sugarland Lodge No. 1141 for their Stated Meeting.

Dinner was delicious, the welcome was warm, and we were privileged to sit in on the presentation of a Lamar Award to start the evening, followed by a well run meeting by WM Thad Olive that included a stellar educational lecture by District 30-A DI Gary Wiener.

Thanks for having us, and we hope to visit again soon!

Every second Tuesday, after dinner, a different Temple 4 brother hosts a session of, “What’s Next?”, a new lodge education series we began this year, launched through the idea and inspiration of PM John Kempf.

“What’s Next?” touches on an array of different topics all focused on answering the question of, ‘what’s next?’ for us as Master Masons, both new and tenured alike.

Last night, PM Howard Hoffman led a session of “What’s Next?” titled, “The Effects of Masonry on the American Revolution” where he inspired us to sharpen our skills as historians and consider the roots of American Freemasonry as far back as before, and the events leading up to, the beginning of the American Revolution.

Thank you to everyone who came out in support, stayed to fellowship, and all those who worked tirelessly to make this morning a success.

This week has been a traveling week for several Temple No. 4 members.

This past Wednesday, Temple No. 4’s Worshipful Master Tom Tinsley and Treasurer Kevin Binder attended a Fellowcraft Degree at Brazoria Lodge No. 327.

Saturday, R:.W:. Binder and W:.M:. Tinsley, along with Temple No. 4's Tiler, Saul Eisenbaum, and Senior Warden, Jonathan Myers, attended a Super Forum conducted by R:.W:. Cody Cockroft hosted at Sugarland Lodge No. 1141.

Both lodges gave the warmest of welcomes and provided the most delicious of meals. We're looking forward to visiting again soon!

A few members of Temple Lodge No. 4 made an impromptu visit to Park Place Lodge No. 1172 for the official visit of District 30-G DDGM, R:.W:. Alfredo G. "Jojo" Salcedo, Jr.

W:.M:. Daniel McGettrick and Park Place Lodge No. 1172 gave us, all guests and visitors, and R:.W:. Salcedo the warmest of welcomes and kindest of receptions.
