Just a reminder, now that the floats are in at the beach, please do not fish near them or close to the dam. If you do end up snagging your lure, please do the right thing and retrieve it. Please do not leave it for a child or volunteer to accidentally grab. We pulled these off the dam and from the beach yesterday during the cleanup. See less

FYI, please respond to the survey below if you are still having trouble with your billing from Republic. PPOA residents only please.

I’m to bring attention to ongoing issues with Republic Services’ trash and recycling service, which have been discussed on the PPOA page.

Originally, residents were quoted $36/month for weekly trash and recycling. Due to service limitations, the rate was adjusted to $27/month for weekly trash and biweekly recycling. However, many households, including mine, continue to be billed at the original rate (or worse, individual household rate of $248/quarter for Josh and I), have not received updated contracts or containers, and have experienced poor or no response from our sales representative, Matthew Koulopoulos.

Despite multiple emails and calls (3 ½ hours!) to Republic Services, my account remains unresolved. I’ve been promised follow-ups from management that never occurred, and I’m not alone—many neighbors report similar frustrations.

To help escalate this matter, I’ve created a survey to collect household-specific issues. I respectfully request that the Board post the link to our PPOA page to encourage participation 🔗

Yesterday I pulled four fishing hooks with lures out of the swimming area rope. Some of them had yards of line attached.

Please do not fish near the swimming area. That includes the left or the right sides near the ropes.

If you do get your line caught in the rope, do not just cut your line! Wade out and retrieve your hook and lures.

Young people grab the rope for safety as do volunteers who take in the ropes in the fall.

The scare goose is up on the beach again to try to keep the geese off. Hopefully this will reduce the amount of p**p on the beach.
