⚠️ TRAIL SAFETY NOTICE ⚠️

There is a hole on the hiking trails just beyond the lower pond, behind the Lodge. The hole has been mostly filled and marked with tape and cones as a temporary safety measure.

As always use of the the trails is at your own risk; please use caution when using the trails and be aware of your surroundings. Even when a particular hazard has been identified, trails can have many natural hazards that are not always obvious.

Please remember to:

Wear appropriate footwear.
Watch for roots, rocks, holes, and uneven surfaces.
Pay attention to where you are walking.
Look up as well as down—branches can fall unexpectedly from above.
Keep children and pets close and supervised.

Our volunteers work tirelessly to maintain and improve the trails for everyone to enjoy. We appreciate their efforts and ask that everyone do their part to stay alert, use good judgment, and take responsibility for their own safety while enjoying the trails.

Hello Neighbors!
Just a reminder from our PPOA Board regarding leaving boats on the beach -- If you leave your boats on the beach, please 1) lock them, 2) take your paddles with you , and 3) turn the boats over so they do not collect water. There was an unlocked boat at the beach, which was locked with a PPOA lock, paddle put in the shed, and the boat turned over. A note was also put on the boat.
Folks aren't trying to be difficult here… It is a liability issue (and requirement regarding boats) with the PPOA insurance company. Thank you!!

Hey friends! A reminder to please, please avoid fishing near the swimming area! It's not very neighborly (or safe for our little swimmers) when you snag the ropes and leave your hooks behind. And if you see someone fishing in this area, please kindly point out the problem to them as it is very possible they are not in this group and are not aware. Thank you!!

Just a reminder, now that the floats are in at the beach, please do not fish near them or close to the dam. If you do end up snagging your lure, please do the right thing and retrieve it. Please do not leave it for a child or volunteer to accidentally grab. We pulled these off the dam and from the beach yesterday during the cleanup. See less
