Southern CA is famous for its wide variety of things to do. All within the same day, it is possible for one to surf here in Huntington Beach, Surf City USA, and then, after a relatively short drive, snowboard or ski the pristine slopes of Big Bear Mt... and even if you're not a sports enthusiast it can be just as great for you! ; relaxing and soaking up the midday sun from the serene beaches of SoCal then getting bundled up in warm attire to watch people cascade down the mountains while enjoying a warm beverage at the ski/snowboard slope cafe can be just as fun!.. This year in March we had a cold surprise here in Huntington Beach, but it was received with a warm welcome. The snow was brought to us in a sense as it began to hail in the area, a very rare occurrence so close to the beach. Our property was blanketed with a white layer of 'shaved' ice, which along with the unobstructed view of the ocean, gave the effect of a tropical winter-scape. Our beautiful weather is one of the best things about Huntington Beach, and we at the Sun n Sands Motel are proud to be able to offer reasonably priced room accommodations and excellent customer service to those who come here to relax and delight in it.

The Sun n Sands Motel is located in Surf City USA just a short walk north up Pacific Coast Highway from downtown Huntington Beach and the pier. Among its many attractions, HB is the home of the International Surfing Museum, located at 411 Olive St., where visitors can gain tons of fun and interesting knowledge about the incredible sport of surfing, along with information about the father of modern surfing himself, the great Duke Kahanamoku. From the statue of Kahanamoku located at the intersection of PCH and MAIN ST. to the tree carving on our property, He and surf itself is commemorated an honored throughout our city. The Sun n Sands Motel is proud to call Surf City USA its home!!
