Twas the night before camp, and all through Camp Browning,
Not a creature was quiet—no sulking or frowning.
The staff had been prepping all through the week,
Setting up Browning to make it look sleek.
The harnesses hung by the COPE course with pride,
Zip line and elements ready for the ride.
Carabiners clicked, climbing ropes tight,
Tomorrow would bring adventure and height!
Bows were all strung at the archery range,
Targets lined up and arrows arranged.
The lifeguards had prepped the aquatics with care,
Canoes and the waterfront—nothing left bare.
The river flowed gently, the fire rings cold,
But soon they’d be glowing with stories retold.
The smell of pine mixed with night’s quiet sound,
While Browning’s great spirit stirred all around.
When out near the trail there arose such a cheer,
We rushed to the edge—yes, campers were here!
With backpacks and smiles and boots on their feet,
They marched through the gate for a week none could beat.
“To climbing! To COPE! To archery fun!
To swimming and boating out under the sun!
To Browning adventures both daring and bright—
This camp is pure magic from morning to night!”
The staff gave a cheer and turned out the light,
Their hearts full of pride, their spirits so bright.
And we heard them exclaim as they vanished from sight-
Welcome to Camp Browning, and to all, a great night!
