The up and coming Obsidian Resort is located strategically near Sand Hollow State Park, renowned for its red sand beaches, dazzling red rock formations, and a 1,322-acre reservoir. The easily accessible park has a variety of activities for adventurers of any age, type and skill level. The reservoir boasts one of the warmest bodies of waters Utah has to offer from May through September, which makes it a popular place for swimming and other water sports. Stillwater fishing enthusiasts go there for its abundant catches, while offroad adventurers flock there for its rock climbing and open sand dunes and technical trails. Just outside the state park and only a few minutes from the Obsidian Property, golfers can enjoy Sand Hollow’s 27-hole course that feature the state’s largest fairways and greens.
At the heart of the resort lies a 43-key hotel with studio rooms that will also host restaurants, a spa, fitness center, outdoor fitter, and other amenities. The surrounding buildings bring another 372 for-sale condominiums that have been designed with larger two and three-bedroom units. An additional 20-keys will be added to the hotel in a separate out-building designed to cater to large groups. All 435-keys will be centrally managed by the hotel operator extending the hospitality services and amenities to each of its guests.
