🔥 Meet Campfire Carl 🔥

Every summer, somewhere in Boise County, Campfire Carl packs up the campsite, loads the truck, gives the fire one last glance and proudly declares:

“Yep… she’s out.”

Meanwhile, the fire pit is still warm enough to cook breakfast, there’s a little wisp of smoke curling into the air, and one lonely ember is hanging on like it just signed a year-long lease.

Carl gives it the official inspection…

👢 Kicks a little dirt on it.
🤠 Nods confidently.
🚙 Drives away.

Carl’s campfire then spends the afternoon trying to become tomorrow’s headline.

Don’t be Campfire Carl.

Before you leave your campsite:

💧 Drown the fire with plenty of water.
🪵 Stir the ashes and coals.
💧 Add more water.
✋ Feel the ashes with the back of your hand. If it’s too hot to touch, it’s too hot to leave.

A campfire isn’t out when the flames disappear. It’s out when it’s cold.

Let’s keep Boise County green, our firefighters bored, and Campfire Carl unemployed.
