Strawberry Junction Area/San Jacinto Wilderness/Pacific Crest Trail

Strawberry Junction Area/San Jacinto Wilderness/Pacific Crest Trail Strawberry Junction Camp is managed by the California Department of Parks and Recreation. It is in the Mount San Jacinto State Park Wilderness.

Strawberry Junction Camp is near the junction of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) and Deer Springs Trail. A permit is required to camp here and can be obtained from the ranger station in Idyllwild near the Deer Springs TH. The camp has a pit toilet and water can be filtered from nearby Marion Creek. The camp provides scenic views of Strawberry Valley and beyond. This camp is convenient for both PCT hikers or San Jacinto Peak summit hikers.

Spared by the Mountain Fire! :D

Much of the area is closed. I think this might be the border of the open area. Per the State Park website, NO overnight permits despite this is at least two miles from the smoldering remains of the massive fire.
