Exciting news at the Living Well Foundation! A few staff members had the privilege of completing the American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification Course to refresh our skills. We hope this training will help our staff feel confident and able when faced with emergency situations. LWF strives to save lives!

We are proud to announce the addition of Living Well Foundation (Camp Jump Start) to our Corporate Roundtable, a group of individuals and organizations whose collective vision is sustainable human health, a sustainable health care system and a sustainable world.

Living Well Foundation, a nonprofit organization, was founded so that no child should have an adult disease, and no one should die from preventable illness. The Foundation owns and operates Living Well Village, located 45 minutes from St. Louis International Airport. Its individually-focused healthy lifestyle immersion programs, which teach people how to make informed decisions regarding their health and wellness, are held on the property of 250 private, forested acres nestled on a private lake.

Congratulations to Jeremiah Simmons, our assistant director and Marcie Ann Huelsing, our special education instructor for receiving an Emerson Excellence in Education award at the Ritz-Carlton ceremony. The picture on the left was taken showing camp spirit in 2006 when Jeremy let Marcie dye his hair yellow then they re-created that memory in the current picture on the right. We are so lucky to have such highly acclaimed educators working with our campers each year. Congratulations on the well deserved recognition. We are grateful to share our summers making a difference for kids with you.

Our staff leads by example even in the off season. Liz Flowers, our Development Manager and Alec Lhotka our personal trainer, both completed the Rock 'n Roll Half Marathon in Las Vegas over the weekend. Way to go!

We are pleased to announce that our very own registered dietitian - Allison Fritschel - sat for the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine's certification exam last week. The results are in and she PASSED!! This exam has a 50% passing rate and we could not be more proud of all of the hard work she put into preparing for it. Congratulations on becoming certified in Lifestyle Medicine Practice 🤗👏👩‍🎓🎉

Exciting things happening at the Living Well Foundation! Two of our new year-round staff members became certified as Basic Archery Instructors after attending the proper training course and passing the follow-up exam. They cannot wait to share this unique skill with the kids of CJS.
