🌱🦋 History is being made right here in Indian Lake!

Today, a little rain and mud couldn’t stop over 100 incredible volunteers from coming together as an integral part of a massive three-year project. Indian Lake is transforming our old capped landfill into a thriving Pollinator Meadow—the very first landfill in the entire Adirondack Park to be repurposed like this! 🏔️✨

Despite the drizzly Saturday, our community got their hands dirty working alongside adkaction and Town of Indian Lake to plant a huge variety of native plants. Soon, these plants will grow tall to provide a vital sanctuary for butterflies, birds, and bees, with beautiful walking paths weaving through the meadow for everyone to enjoy. 🌸🚶‍♂️

A massive round of applause to everyone who showed up, got muddy, and helped to build this historic project today!

Just a couple of Adirondack Lake locals chatting over breakfast 🐟
Grabbed our paddles early today and ended up getting a front-row seat to multiple pairs of talkative loons. Watching them dive for breakfast and echo across the glassy water is the ultimate soul reset.
