This is honestly one of our favorite locations 🙌🏻 it’s waterfront AND pet friendly.

There’s even a game room.

What more could you want?!

Minutes from Oden State, fish hatchery, and within 10 minutes of Petoskey.

Also, out of all of our lakefront properties this is the most affordable right now because this is the first season, the calendar is mostly open.

Amping up our grill-cleaning game! 🔥🧽 New grill cleaning kits for all of our cleaning crew 🤗

It’s funny looking back… when I started JR’s Cleaning Service back in 2014, I had no idea it was important to remove the grill grates and clean underneath them. 😅

Over the years, we’ve learned that it’s often the little details that make the biggest difference.

As we’ve grown and now care for vacation rentals all across Northern Michigan, we’ve seen every type of grill setup imaginable. That means investing in the right tools so we can get into all the cracks and crevices—not just clean what guests can see.

A clean, well-maintained grill isn’t just about appearance. It helps with performance, extends the life of the grill, and gives guests one more thing they don’t have to worry about during their stay.

If you’re visiting Northern Michigan, this is one spot I always recommend checking out: the Oden State Fish Hatchery.

Fun fact! I actually worked here one summer giving fish hatchery tours, and it’s still one of my favorite jobs to look back on. I learned so much about Michigan’s fisheries, conservation efforts, and the incredible fish raised right here in our backyard.

Whether you’re traveling with kids, visiting as a couple, or just looking for a unique place to explore, it’s a fun and educational stop. My favorite part was always visiting the big fish pond, just don’t forget to bring a few quarters for fish food!

Open year-round for self-guided exploration, with trails, viewing areas, educational displays, and plenty of opportunities to connect with nature.

Suitable for all ages, though some walking is required.
