You may know Matt as one of the friendly faces in the CityWay office, helping residents navigate everything from renewals to the everyday details of apartment life. As our Assistant Property Manager, he gets to know the people who call CityWay home — and helps make sure they can keep calling it home for years to come!

We put Matt in the hot seat with a few questions so you can get to know the person behind the CityWay community:

🏡 Favorite part about working at CityWay?
→ The culture and the incredible team! From our office team going above and beyond for residents to our amazing maintenance team using their knowledge and experience to quickly tackle work orders and concerns, Matt says the people are what make CityWay special. 💛

🍽️ Go-to food spot in Indy?
→ Too many great places to choose just one! A few of his favorite walkable spots include Harry & Izzy’s, The Eagle, Sushi Den, Bakersfield, and plenty more. Basically, Matt is taking full advantage of everything right outside our front door.

🎶 What song is always on your playlist?
→ 9 to 5 to 9 by Sabyn & Dolly Parton. Currently on repeat!

🏨 If you weren’t in Property Management, what would you be doing?
→ Hotel Management! Matt loves the people side of his job while still getting to work with numbers, so it sounds like he’d be right at home in the hospitality world.

🛠️ What’s something residents might be surprised to learn about you?
→ Matt designs and/or refurbishes furniture as a side business! 👀 So when he’s not helping residents or keeping things running at CityWay, there’s a good chance he’s giving an old piece of furniture a whole new life.

🍂 Fall Fest is back — and this year, we’re pulling out all the stops.

CityWay, The Alexander, and the Irsay Family YMCA are teaming up for our 5th Annual Fall Fest, and we’re bringing a little bit of everything we love about fall to The Plaza at The Alexander.

Come carve and paint pumpkins, play fall games, cozy up around the fire pits, grab some food and drinks, and catch a festive movie under the stars. Feeling a little witchy? Stop by for a tarot card reading, get a caricature drawn, or hop in the photo booth to capture a few memories from the night. 🎃

And we’re just getting started! We’ll have an amazing lineup of CityWay retailers and community partners joining us with giveaways, samples, activities, and surprises throughout the evening. We’ll be announcing our vendors leading up to Fall Fest, so keep an eye on our pages to see who’s coming!

🏡 Favorite part about working at CityWay?
→ Helping people find their own reasons to love CityWay as much as I do. Whether it’s sharing exciting features on social, showing someone their dream apartment, creating events that bring neighbors together, or giving an amenity space a fresh new feel — I love making CityWay feel like a community. 💛

🥪 Go-to food spot in Indy?
→ Shapiro’s. HAS. TO. BE. Shapiro’s. I’ve been going there since I was knee-high, so this one is non-negotiable.

🎶 What song is always on your playlist?
→ My playlists have a little bit of everything, and it definitely depends on the vibe. If you’ve seen my office, you know I’m a huge Swiftie 💁‍♀️ but lately, Noah Kahan’s new album has been on repeat! And no, I can't pick just one.

👗 If you weren’t in Property Management, what would you be doing?
→ Fashion designer, fresh off the runway at New York Fashion Week.

📺 What’s something residents might be surprised to learn about you?
→ I’ve been on the Today Show! I’m ½ of the “Millennium Twins.” My twin brother was born December 31, 1999 at 11:59 PM, and I was born January 1, 2000 at 12:01 AM — making him the last baby born in 1999 and me the first baby born in 2000! 🎉

So basically… she's been making an entrance since day one. 😂✨
Catch her around CityWay — probably with a coffee in hand, a million ideas in her head, and a playlist that changes by the hour. 😉

POV: You heard “dog swim” and immediately knew it was going to be a good night. 😂🐶

Apollo, Moses, Nina, Beau & Moira Rose had an absolute BLAST at Dog Swim! From pool time and Who Let the Dogs Out to treats, toys, and bandanas to take home, these pups definitely made the most of their last pool day. 🐾

And after all those zoomies? We’re betting they had the best night of sleep they’ve had in a while. 💤

→ HVAC installs and service. Looks like Paul would still be keeping things running one way or another!

👨‍🍳 What’s something residents might be surprised to learn about you?
→ Paul loves to cook! So when he’s not keeping CityWay in tip-top shape, you might just find him in the kitchen whipping something up.
