Things are moving fast! Now the walls have been opened up you can really start to see the vision come together which is super exciting. Now just need to make sure we don’t run out of money before we finish!

What do you think I should do about the cracks and weeds in the parking lot? I don’t have budget for new concrete, so hoping for a short term solution to hold us over. Any suggestions welcome 🙏

Make popcorn ceilings great again! It’s such a divisive topic but on my third renovation we have a good idea of the tradeoffs we have to make.

Ultimately, we have to prioritize our budget on investments that will have the most positive impact to our guest experience. And as long as ceilings are safe & clean they are the last thing our guests care about. What do you think?

New roof wasn’t in my fortune cookie, but here we are 👀

With everything I’m managing across our Winterset location, overseeing Chariton and Indianola progress, having to foot the bill of this roof renovation really wasn’t something I wanted to have to do,

but this is the world of hospitality, and we have to be ready for these kind of things!
