A Stone's Throw right in the middle of the two largest lakes. Seneca and Cayuga. The perfect location to explore the Finger Lakes.
The Finger Lakes exist because of massive glaciers more than a mile thick that moved across New York during the last Ice Age. These slow moving rivers of ice carved deep north-south valleys, scraping away rock and soil over thousands of years. When the glaciers melted about 12,000 years ago, the valleys filled with water…creating the long, narrow lakes seen today.
Every lake here is basically a masterpiece carved by ice. 🧊🌊
