Baby Daisy May has decided that horse feed is apparently the finest cuisine on the property and can often be found waiting for the horses to drop a few bites her way. 😆

Meanwhile, Brittany and Sage are proving that friendship comes in all shapes, sizes, and species as they share watering holes and sunny afternoons with the chickens.

It’s easy to get caught up in schedules, deadlines, and the constant rush of everyday life. But out here, we’re reminded daily that joy is often found in the simplest moments—a curious baby goat, a peaceful drink shared between unlikely friends, and the gentle rhythm of animals simply being themselves.

Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing journey toward equality. It marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in Texas learned they were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
