ANNOUNCEMENT!!! SOFT OPENING for MEMORIAL WEEKEND!
We have been working doubletime trying to aren’t quite where we had hoped to before this weekend, we are still waiting on our water meter so we can have water, but we have decided to open for tent campers and day passes for river access. Tent camping is $20 (1 tent family of 5)… $5 for additional individuals. Day passes for river access is $5 a person or $20 per family. Call or text 573-604-0813 for reservations

What local event are you attending this weekend? We took our 10 year old to the fishing derby at the Bonne Terre Lake. He wasn’t lucky enough to catch any fish today but he was lucky enough to have his number drawn for a new bike. I would guess around 200-250 kids came out today and about 80 or so kids won prizes. There is always something to do here locally on the weekend and we look forward to having everyone out to camp, fish and swim with us! We have a deep swimming hole that will be great for fishing and swimming. I personally look forward to some late night catfishing along the bluff.

LAWSONS BLUFF might not be open for bookings quite yet, but that shouldn’t stop you from exploring everything our beautiful area has to offer this weekend! From monster trucks and hot wings to serene hikes and crystal hunting, the area is buzzing.

Can’t wait to see Hannah Harper here in Irondale on June 27th. If anyone needs a place to stay that weekend we will have 12 full hookup rv spaces, 9 rv spaces with sewer and water, 8 primitive rv spaces, as well as several tent space located on Big River just 3 miles from Big River Outdoors Amphitheater where Hannah will be performing! Look forward to seeing everyone!

It’s been a long few days but we have made Progress!!! We are ready to lay 19 sewer spaces and 12 electric tomorrow. Then after the rain passes we will be back to laying 18 pads and planting grass seed again.

We’ve been putting in the hours trying to get sites ready. Hopefully the rain this week will help us get come grass growing for some basic rv pads and tent spots while we try to get the full hookups sites utilities ran. We were hoping to be up and running by now but it looks like our new goal is Memorial weekend.

I love going to city hall meetings and hearing about all the great businesses that are coming to our small community within minutes of the campground will be a Dollar General, a salon, a coffee shop, and we currently have Roy’s gas station, Blue Haven Restaurant, and I know some followers have asked about trail rides and I just learned we have Motucky Stables that will be offering equestrian services!!! So excited to see what this year brings and look forward to seeing all these new business build our community.
