Not the water we had hoped for this week, but God is faithful in all things. 🙏 He is replenishing the river that evaporated during this intense heat wave, reminding us that He is always at work in His creation. Trusting in His perfect timing! 🌿💧

🌞 Whew, it's a HOT one today! 🌞
How are you spending this hot summer day?
We decided it was simply too hot to work, so we spent the afternoon cooling off in the refreshing waters of our swimming hole on the Big River. 🏖️💦
Not a swimmer? No problem! Our shaded beach area stays about 15–20 degrees cooler than being out in the direct sun, making it the perfect spot to relax, unwind, and watch the kids splash and play along the river.
The sound of the water flowing, a cool breeze through the trees, and a shady place to sit back and enjoy nature... that's what summer at LAWSONS BLUFF is all about.

Our community is coming together to help save lives!
The American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at the Irondale Firehouse on June 22, and I'll be there donating. If you're able, please consider signing up and giving blood.
You never know when you, a family member, a friend, or a neighbor may need a lifesaving transfusion. One donation can make a tremendous difference for someone in need.

When the pager goes off, our firefighters don’t ask who needs help. We simply show up.

On June 22nd, we’re asking our community to do the same.

The truth is, we currently have only a handful of donors signed up for our American Red Cross Blood Drive. Blood can’t be manufactured. It can’t be bought. It can only come from generous people willing to give a small part of their day to help someone they’ll likely never meet.

The blood donated at drives like this helps:
🚑 Accident victims
🏥 Surgery patients
🎗️ Cancer patients
👶 Children in need of transfusions

One donation can help save multiple lives.

Picture yourself gathered around a crackling bonfire on the riverbank, listening to the gentle flow of the river while frogs provide the evening soundtrack. As darkness settles in, lightning bugs begin to glow across the campground, and the fresh scent of nature fills the air.
No traffic. No city noise. Just the warmth of the fire, the beauty of the river, and the peaceful sounds of the outdoors.

When we bought our property last year, 50% of the riverbank was swallowed by flood debris. After countless hours of cutting, burning, and more burning, we’ve finally cleared 99% of it! We are now filling in the holes left behind and building our own private oasis.
We uncovered these beautiful, huge "elephant rocks" hidden underneath a massive log barge when we first started. Now, our riverbank is perfectly shaded—just in time for long days sitting by the water, fishing, and watching the kids play.

An update on our grand opening & water meter! 💦🌲We hoped to share a final completion date this week, but our new water meter installation ran into a few delays and couldn't be finished just yet. 😩While we can't fully open the campground until the water is officially flowing, we aren't letting that stop the summer fun! We are officially open for:⛺ Primitive Camping – Perfect for off-grid tent campers who love a rustic getaway!🛶 Day Passes – Come splash, fish, or relax by the river for the day!Note: Since our main water line is not active yet, please remember to pack in plenty of your own drinking and washing water for your visit!Thank you all so much for your patience as we build this campground from the ground up. We cannot wait to welcome you fully!
