We fully opened july 2026 and offer year round full hookup pull through RV spots, primitive tent camping and daily river passes.

Looking for plans this weekend? Make a full day of it while supporting our local community!

Start your morning bright and early at the Irondale city-wide yard sale to hunt for great deals. Once you finish shopping, head just down the road to Caledonia for lunch and dinner at the Sandy Halbert benefit. It is a fantastic all-day event supporting a local family, featuring live music, a bake sale, live and silent auctions, musical bingo, a bounce house for the kids, and plenty of food.

Be sure to check out the auction, because LAWSONS BLUFF Campground has donated a certificate for two nights of camping up for grabs!

Speaking of camping, if you are still looking for a spot for Labor Day weekend, LAWSONS BLUFF Campground has spaces available. We offer primitive camping, full hookup pull-through sites, and everything in between on a nightly, weekly, or monthly basis.

Floods can’t hold us down—and they can’t keep our lily pads down either! 🌊🌱

If you've spent any time out on the Big River this year, you know we've seen some intense high waters. At times, the river has risen so high that our lily pads were buried under 5 to 15 feet of rushing floodwater!

You would think being trapped under that much deep, moving water would be the end of them. But nature is amazingly resilient. As soon as the crest passes and the water recedes, those lily pads pop right back up to the surface—vibrant, green, blooming, and stronger than ever.

Just like our lily pads, LAWSONS BLUFF Campground is fully open, beautifully recovered, and ready for you to unwind. Best of all? Our campsites are located safely out of the flood zone, so you can camp with total peace of mind while enjoying the beautiful river views!

Whether you need to sit by the banks, cast a line, or escape the daily grind under a starry sky, we have a safe, high, and dry spot waiting for you.

Notice to our campers and river friends:

You may have seen recent news about high E. coli bacteria levels and sewage issues on the Big River down near Leadwood. We want to assure all of our guests that LAWSONS BLUFF is located 14 miles upstream from that area. Our water is completely safe, clean, and unaffected by the downstream problems.

We want to give a big thanks to Briley boy's adventures & more for calling attention to the issues in Leadwood so state officials could step in and get the cleanup process started. We look forward to seeing the downstream areas restored! Come on out and enjoy the river with us just like always.

Thank you so much for sharing this! 🙌 Seeing our guests find total peace and relaxation here brings us so much joy.

We have a massive vision for LAWSONS BLUFF! While we are definitely a work in progress and it will take some time to bring all of our ideas to life, we want you to know that every single penny we make goes right back into the campground. 🛠️🏕️

We might be starting out small, but the dream is so much bigger. We are putting our hearts into building this dream for everyone to come and enjoy.
