Cuyuna Bunkhouse is a smaller 2-level home that includes a single stall detached garage to safely store your bikes. The property has plenty of space for parking, includes a bonfire pit with bonfire blankets, and a grill for an outdoor barbecue. Upon entering the bunkhouse, you will be greeted by the cozy living room that includes a TV with Roku, games, books, magazines, a retro gas stove, extra bl

ankets, and space to unwind and relax after an eventful day. To the left you will find an open-concept kitchen fully furnished with cookware & necessities. The custom island has built-in seating for meals, games, and chatting with friends & family. Upstairs you will find a large, open bedroom with 2 plush queen beds, a bench with dresser drawers, and a comfortable office nook for two. In the corner of the room, there is a bathroom stocked with toiletries and towels. There is also a laundry area with a stacked washer and dryer, and a clothing bar with hangers. At the top of the stairs, an exterior door leads you to the back deck furnished with a patio table and chairs for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or an adult beverage.

Happy Friday 💫🙌🏼

We wanted to share some of our favorite little fall moments as we approach our next beautiful season in Cuyuna country. The colors change, the air feels nice & cool on our skin, and it’s a time to reflect & re-energize by doing things we love with the people we love.

As you plan ways to relax this upcoming fall, we hope you’d consider booking a fun little getaway with us. We have hot coffee & tea, cozy blankets to snuggle up in, and are located less than 2 miles from the beautiful Cuyuna Country State Recreation area. Crosby/Ironton are wonderful places to visit with the cute little shops, restaurants, and so much more.

It’s been a while since we’ve shared some guest reviews, so we thought there’s no time like the present, right?! 😉 We truly have the best guests and could not be more grateful for the opportunity to host such incredible people (& pups too!) 🫶🏼

👉🏼 “The Cuyuna Bunkhouse was exactly what we were looking for and expecting for our short stay! The area is beautiful and the trailheads were close enough to bike to which was great! The secured bike storage in the garage was a nice amenity, however we weren’t at all worried as the area felt very safe and family-friendly.
The house itself was very well styled, cozy, and clean! The kitchen was stocked and met our needs for cooking. The beds being super comfortable was a nice bonus!
Overall, this was the perfect place to stay and we will definitely look to book again for future trips to the Ironton-Crosby area!”

Cuyuna State Recreation Area is awakening after our mild winter this year ☺️

The leaves are coming in and the trails are excited to welcome all the riders. We couldn’t be more grateful for this beautiful area. The mine pit lakes are truly magnificent with their crystal clear water. They are begging for adventurers who may want to try scuba diving, paddle-boarding, kayaking, or canoeing. Soon the water will be warm enough for swimming and summer will be on full display.

When staying at Cuyuna Bunkhouse, guests are a short bike ride to the trails and Miner’s Mountain Rally Center. We provide outdoor games, a bonfire pit, back patio with a table and chairs, bike storage, charcoal grill, and more. We have plenty of room if you would like to bring your boat/ATV. We also accommodate up to 2 pups per stay for a small fee and include water/food bowls and treats. We sleep up to 4 guests on 2 queen beds. We also installed a partial fence on the property last fall and have added mattress toppers to ensure our amazing guests have an extra cozy night of rest after shredding the trails.

Do you know how we got our name?

Cuyuna Bunkhouse got it’s name because the upstairs contains 2 queen beds in one big open space. A bunkhouse is a sleeping quarters for visitors, so it seemed quite fitting!

One thing we love most about booking a short-term vacation rental over a hotel is having access to a kitchen! We love to cook and appreciate that Cuyuna Bunkhouse has all the dishes and utensils we need to make our own meals while we are there. While we love a good balance between going out to eat vs. dining in.

It’s been a very slow winter season for a lot of us here in Crosby/Ironton and we personally cannot wait to see the town come alive again!

We have a few new followers and thought it would be a good time to reintroduce ourselves! We are a short term rental located in northern Minnesota in a small town called Ironton. The area is known for its beautiful outdoor recreation and cute little shops, bars, restaurants, and more. Our place is a cute little 768 sq ft cabin and is on a 1.5 acre lot just outside of town. Everything in town (including the trails) you can bike to! We sleep up to 4 guests and 2 pups and cannot wait to shred the red once again. Trails are not quite open yet due to the thaw, but we cannot wait to get back out there.
