Evangola State Park's major attraction is the beautiful natural sand beach located on the shore of L Low cliffs of Angola shale line the edge of the beach.

Evangola State Park's major attraction is its beautiful arc-shaped shoreline and natural sand beach on Lake Erie. In addition to swimming, the park has picnic facilities, baseball and soccer fields, tennis and basketball courts, 80 campsites and a nature center in the campground area.

🥾 of the Week! 🌲
We extend our gratitude to everyone who participated in the Woods Walk and Watercolor at Deveaux Woods State Park last Saturday. Together, we created some beautiful watercolor artworks.
🦆Today at Evangola State Park, we enjoyed perfect weather for the NYSOA Winter Waterfowl Count. We spotted over a hundred Common goldeneyes, more than 40 scaups, and even two majestic bald eagles.

❄️Wings of Winter🦆
Did you know you can see around 19 different species of gulls on Lake Erie? Many gulls stop here during their winter migrations, and some actually spend the entire season on the lake. Lake Erie often stays partially ice-free, which gives gulls access to open water for feeding. The lake also provides an abundance of food, from fish and aquatic invertebrates to leftovers stirred up by winter storms.
We commonly see Ring-billed Gulls and Herring Gulls year-round, but during the colder months, Lake Erie can attract less common visitors such as Bonaparte’s Gulls and the Little Gull.
