Mission FIN-possible: 2,700 fish rescued!

The objective was simple -- rescue thousands of fish from certain death. These fish were in a hopeless place, trapped in a network of irrigation ditches and creeks drying up for the winter. Luckily, agile volunteers hastily netted fish and returned them to the Snake River by the bucketful.

The crews saved fish of many vital species, including the Snake River Fine Spotted Cutthroat Trout.

This was a collaborative effort with Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming Game & Fish, Trout Unlimited, fishing guides, and local volunteers.

New Release: Beginning at 8 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2021, select roads and services in Yellowstone will open to the public for the season, weather permitting. Visitors should expect modified operations that are subject to change based on future conditions and public health guidance.
